What Pixel Wheels actually is

Pixel Wheels is a top-down arcade racer in the tradition of Super Cars and Micro Machines — pixel art, short tracks, weapons, and a handling model you learn in about ninety seconds. It is free, has no adverts and no in-app purchases.

The best part is split-screen: up to four players on one device, which almost nothing on Android offers any more. There is also a championship mode and time trials if you are on your own.

It is an indie project by one developer, so be realistic about scope. There are fewer tracks and vehicles than a commercial racer, and no online multiplayer. In exchange it is 28 MB, it runs on Android 4.4, and nothing in it is trying to sell you anything.

Why this game is on Apkoras

Pixel Wheels is licensed under the GPL-3.0, which explicitly permits redistribution. That licence is the written permission that lets us host the file at all.

The file we serve is the original binary from the project’s own release, with the developers’ signature untouched. We do not repackage, re-sign or modify it. The SHA-256 in the panel is the hash of that exact file, and the source is one click away if you would rather read it than trust us.

Common questions

Does it have split-screen multiplayer?

Yes, up to four players on a single device. It is one of very few Android games that still does this.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

No. Neither. It is a free, open-source game with no monetisation of any kind.

Will it run on a very old phone?

Probably. The minimum is Android 4.4, which is lower than almost anything else in this catalogue, and it is a light 2D game.

Is there online multiplayer?

No. Multiplayer is local split-screen only.

How do I check my download is genuine?

On Windows run certutil -hashfile pixelwheels-itchio-1.0.1.apk SHA256. On Linux or macOS use sha256sum. Compare it to the SHA-256 on this page.
